I have a paper subscription which is supposed to include digital access. It seems to have locked me out after sending in my renewal. Now I can only see one magazine even though I should have at least a year and a half of magazines to access. Very hard to get support!!

Your update works great if you want to shut out your subscribers. I have a subscription where I get a hard copy and a digital. I love having digital so I can travel with it easier. But now I’m locked out, cants see any of the issues and I’ve been a subscriber for years. This is not the first time this has happened. I most like am done with this magazine

I’m a paid Threads Insider but the app doesn’t recognize my email/password. Triple checked and I can login online just fine. App is pointless and disappointing. Customer service wouldn’t help, just kept resetting my password even though I told them that wasn’t the issue.

I’ve been a Threads reader for many years and find it to be a great sewing resource. This periodic gem is always choc full of the latest in sewing advice and techniques (ie: Top down, center out pants fitting)! I can’t remember one issue that, after reading, I hadn’t learned at least one new tip. Thank you all for Threads!

I recently subscribed, but am unable to even log into the app. Customer service is not responsive. I called and was told my subscription doesn’t include digital access, though my purchase confirmation clearly says that it does. So, I guess I’m just deleting this app.

I have downloaded it several times but it doesn’t work.

I got a new iPad a couple of months ago. Only the last 3 issues have restored. I’ve contacted Taunton for help and they haven’t helped at all. They’re telling me to contact Apple. No one at Apple to contact - this is an app issue, not an Apple issue. I’m about to cancel my subscription. Why am I continuing to pay if I’m not getting what I paid for?

You have to redownload magazines EVERY SINGLE TIME you open the app. Gets old

I love having the ability to read my magazine on my iPad while waiting for appointments.

I am a Threads insider member and paid $59 for that. However this app does not allow me to access the archive magazines as promised for the insider membership. I have logged in but it just doesn’t deliver.

I have used this app for almost 8 years. I have never had a problem with it. One of the things I love most about it is that I can go directly to an advertiser’s website when I see one that is interesting to me. When I received the print version, I would have to write it down, or go to the computer and look it up right then or i would forget about the product. I have other publications whose app doesn’t work like this and when I see something I want to know more about, I have to toggle between the app and the web browser.

I am unable to download issues I’ve paid for. The download won’t go past 93%.

Often doesn’t work on my iPad. I have to reinstall to get it to work again.

First of all, it is very unclear what is included in the price, issues appear and disappear. I can’t even download the current issue. Special features are only on the website, which you have to log in to, and cost extra. Very confusing, awkward app. Buy the magazine if you are interested in this content or try Seamwork Magazine to see how a modern version of sewing is handled.

I’m in the process of downloading it and it just won’t finish

I really hate the sparkle things that are all over the place that open up advertisements when you touch them. I have to try not to touch any of them when I am reading the magazine and there are a lot of them. It's shouldn't be so annoying reading a magazine! Why can you just send the magazine out as a pdf like everyone else? I love the magazine. I hate the app! And I prefer the digital version so this is a problem for me. This is my first time subscribing and I doubt I'll resubscribe if this app is still in use when my time is up.

I thought I had purchased these issues to keep. Turns out half of them disappeared and they offered them to me to “buy”. When I complained to Threads it took them weeks to look into it then finally they said it was a problem from Apple, not them. Now, a few weeks later I have no access to anything. It won’t let me sign in or restore purchases. You’re probably better off getting your digital access directly from Taunton but I don’t know if I’d trust that either.

I love having to scroll thru 194 issues to find the 15 I own.

And everything you click the app thinks you want to buy what's on the screen. Plus, hasn't been updated in a while, app is clunky. Pretty sure it'd be cheaper to just buy the physical magazines. $7.99 for a digital copy is ridiculous.

Just got the new IPad Pro! So sad this app has not been updated. If it can't run on the soon to be released new iOS version, I will cancel my subscription. 3 stars because the app is fine on old iPads.

The app needs a 12 digit subscription number. My number isn't 12 digits and doesn't recognize my number. When I tried contacting the support team through the app, it wouldn't go through. Tried several times throughout the day to resolve. Nothing worked. I just deleted it. Wasted my time and only got me frustrated. Im not coming back to try this again. So disappointing.

Like everyone else, I am concerned about losing all my content if the app is not updated. But the magazine is possibly the best sewing magazine out there, and I love reading it on my iPad. Wonderful pics, great technique tutorials done by master sewers. So 5 stars for the magazine, 2 stars for lack of update.

Please update this app before the next iOS release renders it obsolete.

I've received a message that this app is going to cause my iPad to slow down because it has not been updated for the current version of IOS. Please UPDATE. I'll change my rating once complete. I love having Threads on my IPad but not if it's going to start slowing the iPad down

Love being able to read Threads on my iPad but when I select download I get message that Threads may cause iPad to slow down because developer needs to update the app.

Please update your app so I can enjoy Threads even more.

I signed up for the 14 day free trial but they wanted my credit card number. Why? I feel like it's not really free. When I tried to open an issue, it wants to charge me $7.99. What's up with that? MISLEADING.

Taunton's Press has created another wonderful magazine for both the beginner and the expert. I than my wonderful friend Wy for introducing me to Threads. I read it cover to cover on the day I get it. I plan in the next few days what I want to make,tips I save, expert sewing advice I have/might need etc. and I tab those and any other articles I might have missed. Please subscribe you will not be disappointed no matter your sewing skill. It will challenge you to try something new that you never thought you could do. Your subscription comes with the expanded digital subscription as well.

I love the app, the ability to have back issues always available means I can refer to them at any moment any where I take my iPad. The only improvement I would add is a one time fee to add all the old issues as they get digitized, so I can cut down on the clutter and use the space for more patterns, and fabric.

I bought an online subscription and downloaded the app to my iPad and iPhone. So far the new issues are being delivered as expected/I can access them and download. But whereas I was a me to purchase other available issues for the first few months after download, I am now getting messages that say I am not authorized to purchase or that function has been disabled! I've tried to send an email to report this and that repeatedly fails also. Help!

Not only is Threads Magazine the best source of technical sewing instruction, but the digital format also makes full use of the interactivity features. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately I cannot sync this with my iPhone, but it is on my iPad just fine. The magazine is great.

I love my Threads on my iPad - it is handy when I am shopping for fabric or patterns, and I can prop it near my sewing machine or serger. What a resource!

Love the articles, the beautiful graphics. I look forward to the latest issue. Some of my faves are the seasons fashion updates; pantone's colors of the season, fabrics, textures, designers, patterns, sewing, other details, and an article that sums it up. I also enjoy the pattern reviews. Then there are articles that show you how to create your own garment without a pattern, particularly the drafting your own patterns (pants, tops), love those. In the last pages, there is an entertaining sewing story. And one last photo of a gorgeous garment. Thanks for the sewing only ads. In future, I want to highlight and make notes, just like I can in my paper Threads. Then you'll be a 5 star magazine.

It was easy for me to subscribe. I do wish Apple had offered me the choice to get the same deals as Taunton (get Insider plus tablet version versus hard copy and tablet which is the only option). But other than that, LOVE it!

Had some of the same issues with losing access to my old issues when I upgraded to the new iPad software. The bugs have been fixed, all my old issues are back and I am loving Threads all over again. Such great articles with detail to help me improve my skills. And lots of new ideas to try on future projects

I'm having those same issues with the new version of threads. Subscribed but it only bought one issue, cannot access my old issues after upgrading my iPad... I loved the old version of the app, please bring it back. I'm deleting this one!

It' so fun and it alway telling me to make my dreams come true and don't stop trying.

I just updated my ipad 2 to the new version of the ios8 and i cant find my old magazines.....not even the new one....please fix....

I love the magazine, but there is no way to subscribe. The help center says you should be able to subscribe using the button to the left of the question mark, but that button only takes me to an area where I can connect to Facebook or Twitter or where I can manage a print subscription or connect a Threads Insider account. Nothing about an actual digital subscription. I had this option a few updates ago, but no longer. An email to the help center just reiterated the same info and they tried to sell me on the Threads Insider membership.

...it won't open anymore. It tells me I have no content and then it closes. What good is a subscription if I can't access it?

Threads magazine is a staple for the fabric dabbler through expert, it now is very portable

I religiously read Threads and my older issues are somewhat bent from carrying them around. Now I can read them on the go and save my hard copies as references.

I love Threads digital edition. i don't have to go to the store and check out the magazine I just download the editions that I want.

I love to learn and Threads guides me, challenges me and helps me to grow! I have loved Threads in print for a long time. Now with the magic of technology I always have it with me. I can read it in snippets when I have a moment and this brings me great pleasure! Thanks for a great, quality magazine!

Absolutely the best sewing magazine! Love the interactive version on the App! Class act magazine from cover to cover!

This magazine is an incredible resource for people who sew garments. Tutorials, new techniques, from basic to couture.

Have been using this app on my mini for 2 years now with no problems. Enjoy it so much more than print issues because of the interaction with the articles. Only negative I have is that it takes so long to load a new issue.
